Led by Paul Hegley, the kitchen focuses on thoughtful, ingredient-first cooking — dishes that feel elegant without losing their sense of warmth and honesty.

VERSE FOOD
The restaurant takes its cues from music, poetry, and the Devon landscape. Menus are designed to unfold gently, like chapters in a story, creating a dining experience that feels expressive, considered, and memorable. The setting is relaxed but elevated, with an emphasis on craft, character, and genuine hospitality.
Alongside the main dining room sits a more informal pintxos bar — a place to drop in for small, vibrant bites, seasonal plates, and a drinks list that rewards curiosity. It’s lively, easy-going, and built around the joy of sharing food with friends.
